“Some people—even some Latter-day Saints—get confused and mistakenly think that it is only our good works that will save us in the celestial kingdom. If we can only pay enough tithing, go to enough church meetings, set up 100,000 metal chairs, and serve enough people, then we will be qualified for heaven! Wrong. Those good works are wonderful—but they won’t save us. Our good works contribute to our salvation in the sense that they act as prerequisites for making covenants with God.”
