Claire M. Haynie fell in love with history and the ability to tell the human story on one of her family’s summertime roadtrips. After a mission to Armenia and graduating from Brigham Young University, she moved to Washington, DC, where she worked at the National Archives, giving tours to willing (and not-so-willing) eighth graders. She later received her graduate degree across the pond at Oxford University. Claire has studied Church history professionally since 2018, working on projects about the Salt Lake Temple, Brigham Young, and Joseph Smith’s funeral sermons. She enjoys reading, baking, singing, and hiking—only if she can be assured that no snakes will be present.
